ABC Action News reports that the search is on for a suspect who police say grabbed a jogger from behind and attempted to drag her into the woods.

Port Charlotte Sheriff's Office say this attack happened near Ollies Pond Park (near Port Charlotte) at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Thursday November 7th. Police also say that while investigating this attack, detectives learned of a possible second attack that may have recently occurred in the same area. They have been asking for that second victim to come forward.

CCSO says they did make contact with the second victim (a woman) on Friday. After the initial interview with this second woman, police do believe that she encountered the same suspect from the first attack on Thursday.

ABC28 says that the 2nd. woman attack happened about 2 weeks ago, at the same location of Ollies Pond Park, and at about the same time of day, near dawn.

Park visitors say this hasn't stopped them from visiting, however they are being much more cautious and aware. Members of the neighborhood watch group have also said they now have added Ollies Pond to their watch rounds.

Detectives say they hope to continue to speak with the second victim in effort to find out more details on what happened during that encounter.

For now all we know is that the suspect is described as wearing a ski mask, gray hoodie, and gray pants during Thursday's attack.
