DUI Dash Cam Nabs Pinellas Sheriff’s Employee
ABC Action News is reporting on a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office employee who asks the arresting deputy to cut her, “some slack”, during a DUI arrest.
The video below shows the moment Samantha Krenek was arrested. Krenek (a child protection supervisor) was immediately fired after this incident.
The dash-cam footage below reveals Krenek’s incredible request to the deputy who arrested her.
ABC28 news also says their reporters tried to interview Krenek at her residence but she would not answer the door. Krenek’s attorney also declined to comment.
Mother’s Against Drunk Drivings’ executive director Larry Coggins Jr., made this statement:
“This case needs to serve as a reminder that nobody is above the law when it comes to drinking and driving. MADD commends the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy for doing his job and intercepting an impaired driver before she hurt or killed someone, including herself. The Sheriff’s Zero-Tolerance policy of terminating an employee arrested for DUI is a model to be followed.”
Krenek has a hearing scheduled for November 20th.
