It's been 8 years since I've been to my favorite breakfast spot. Whenever I visit friends in Montreal or Boston, I start having thoughts of doing the drive to Burlington, Vermont to get the gingerbread pancakes at Penny Cluse Cafe. They are that good. I still think about them often. I miss them. But today, they might have been eclipsed by this beautiful creation in St. Pete, just about 5 minutes away from Q105.
The cinnamon roll pancakes at Metro Diner have earned a spot in the #GenoAteTampa hall of fame. Wow. By the way, $2.99 Mimosa is a solid accompaniment.
