Last month a dog was rescued on the side of the road with severe burns. It's hard to imagine someone being so cruel to an animal and maybe it was an accident but nobody came forward. The dog was taken to Blue Pearl where he got $12,000 worth of treatment. They named him Jeffrey and now he's with Suncoast Animal League foster Kathy Burek. Kathy keeps everyone up to date on how Jeffrey is doing in his recovery on Facebook .
Since Jeffrey was found on the side of the road, nobody knows much about him but he was found in Highlands County under a tree. Blue Pearl said Jeffrey doesn't have any lease manners but he's sweet and everyone at Blue Pearl and Suncoast Animal League are hoping Jeffrey can find a happy home with someone. Jeffrey still needs care, but he's in much better shape now and certainly on the road to recovery. Jeffrey is so handsome in his t-shirt. Good Boy!
