The Florida Aquarium released some information on its 2019 success, and the numbers were good.

Attendance grew to the highest number since the Florida Aquarium first opened. They reported over 840,000 visitors to the aquarium through the end of the 2019 fiscal year for their second-best year ever.

Research at the aquarium also garnered national attention while developing ways to grow coral in a lab.

The aquarium also increased its collection of animals. In 2019, the aquarium added parrotfish, pelicans, gar and alligators to its wetlands exhibits.

According to a press release from the Florida Aquarium, a USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards survey ranked the aquarium #2 in the United States.
