Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced the 2020 Phython Challenge Bowl to remove invasive Burmese Pythons in the wild. The Python Bowl will begin on January 10th, 2020 and everyone who registers must complete online training before they compete to remove as many snakes as possible from the wild.
These invasive Burmese Pythons have decimated local wildlife and continue to pose a huge threat to our natural food chain.
This challenge will certainly help with the Florida python problem which has grown into a very big problem for the natural wildlife in the Everglades.
I am pleased to announce the launch of Florida's 2020 Python Bowl to remove invasive Burmese Pythons from the wild. The Python Bowl, which is now open for registration, is a joint effort with the @MIASBLIV Host Committee - with the big game being played in Miami on February 2nd. pic.twitter.com/OQve9Rz1mW— Ron DeSantis (@GovRonDeSantis) December 5, 2019
