If you are buying a real Christmas tree this year you might want to check it out all over real good before bringing it into your home. Lisa Piccitto told ABC Action news she started noticing little tiny Praying Mantis around her home after she brought the real tree in. Once you bring the tree in and it warms up, an egg sac hiding in your tree can hatch in your house.

Entomologists say there are many variety of bugs that could be hiding in your tree with one of the worst being ticks. Ticks have thousands of eggs that could suddenly hatch into your space.

Experts say the best thing to do when you get your tree home is take it out of the netting. Shake your tree, inspect inside and then stand it upright in a bucket of water over night.
