Weekdays 10:00am - 3:00pm

The Grease Lightning car from the movie "Grease" is displayed at the Barris Star Car Collection Auction at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Olivia Newton John and John Travolta will be in Tampa this weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of “Grease.” It’s a unique event, so if you’re going or thinking about it, here’s what to expect. The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre will turn into Rydell High School for a screening of the movie. Although the main stars of the film will be there, the audience is a big part of the show. Lyrics to the songs in the film will be on the screen for an audience sing-a-long. They’re even encouraging you to look the part by dressing up like Sandy and Danny. After the movie there will be a Q&A with Olivia and John.

With most tours you can look up reviews and spoilers, but there are only 3 of these planned and they’re all here in Florida. None have happened yet. The first show on the short tour is Friday night in West Palm Beach. Our Tampa show is Saturday and then they take the show to Jacksonville Sunday night. Then that’s it. The tour is over. There are still tickets available via Live Nation. They start at $20 plus fees. VIP tickets include the chance to meet John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
