Well sort of. While we’ve been having unseasonably warm weather this week in Florida, there is snow reported downtown Tampa near the cruise ships. The forecast calls for it to end Monday though. Fortunately it’s confined to one concentrated location on Channelside Drive so don’t rush out to buy a snow blower.
For school vacation week, The Florida Aquarium is pumping out over 60 tons of snow for kids to play in. Kids can slide, build a snowman and make snow angels in the snow through Monday (December 30). They churn out the snow from noon to 5pm and it’s included with general admission to the aquarium. On Saturday morning at 10:30, Sensory Snow Day will let kids with sensory differences have some fun. Special headphones will be available at guest services and Star Wars Storm Troopers will be there.
