Florida Woman Arrested In Murder For Hire Plot
A Hollywood television script couldn’t have been written better…

A Florida woman was arrested by the Gainesville Police Department after investigators recorded a phone call she made on Friday night soliciting for a hit-man (according to Bay News 9).
In that report, authorities are quoted as saying that during the call, the woman discussed hiring a man to kill someone.
According to the Gainesville Police, the woman is 29 year-old Victoria Leigh Sargento-Graham. She was charged with attempted murder and attempted solicitation.
The Gainesville Sun reports that Sargento-Graham had called the witness on Friday, asking him to drive her home. Once the witness arrived, Sargento-Graham asked him to kill someone, (the relationship between the woman and the alleged victim was redacted by authorities in the report).
The witness told police that she claimed she tried to do it herself, but couldn’t. So, the man made the woman believe he'd commit the crime for her, but instead he contacted police.
While the man was with police making the report, Sargento-Graham contacted him by phone, and officers in the room recorded the audio and video (of the call) on his body camera, according to the report.
It was also noted in the report that Sargento-Graham discussed the killing saying, .."the world is cruel and that killing the sleeping person would be the best option".
Sargento-Graham was arrested and taken into custody on Friday night. The report said she initially blamed the idea of suffocating the person on the man who reported her, but later admitted the plan was hers.
The suspect is in the Alachua County jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
