Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa. Perfect for walking, jogging, bicycling, or just taking in the sights. However, after a couple of recent incidents, is it time to take a look at it to see what can be done to make it safer?

Close the road to cars? Add speed bumps? These are two of the ideas people have had to increase safety for the pedestrians enjoying the longest uninterrupted sidewalk.
Perhaps a small barrier between the road and the sidewalk could protect those on the sidewalk. But what about those who cross at various locations?
