I never even got a chance to check out the St. Pete location. And it looks like plans to expand into Clearwater and Brandon are off. The Sun Sentinel reports that Lucky's Market is closing all Florida locations within the next month with the exception of one store in Melbourne. The St. Pete Lucky's opened back in 2018 at the Tyrone Square Mall. They say sales to get rid of inventory will begin tomorrow (January 22). Shoppers on the St. Pete reddit message board are unhappy about the news. One user said it was an affordable place to buy produce and meat and that their products actually helped with healthy eating and weight loss. Another liked how Lucky's made it easy to buy in bulk. And of course many liked the glass of wine while they shop.
