The NHL All-Star 2020 skills competition and game take place this weekend, and we have some of our Tampa Bay Lightning players.
Defenseman Victor Hedman and Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy will each participate in both the skills competition and the All-Star game.
During the skills events, Vasilevskiy will compete in the “Bud Light NHL Save Streak” in which each participating goaltender will try to make the most consecutive saves in a shootout situation.
Hedman is lined up to compete in the “Enterprise NHL Hardest Shot”. The pucks will be shot into the net with the radar gun letting us know just how fast the puck was moving. The record is 108.8 mph set in 2012 by Zdeno Chara. We’d really love to see that record beaten!
