(Photo by Mark Blinch/Getty Images)The Tampa Bay Rays attendance issues are no secret. They need to be creative to get butts in seats. Last year they did something I hope they do again. They dropped ticket prices to a crazy low price of $5. I think they even dipped to $2 for a game or two. It worked. You can clearly see what happens when they try something like this. Check out that blatant clear line of fans in the expensive seats vs the cheap seats.
This season, the Rays have rolled out a new ticket package for the 2020 season. It's pretty clever. If they win, you win. You buy a package of four tickets for $99. There are NO blackout dates. I like that. If the Rays win those games you go to, you will get a free ticket. If they win that game, you get another one. And so on. You get in free until they lose. It's called the "Rays Win Pack." Get the deal here.
Hopefully this works... I loved seeing the Trop all filled up when the Rays dropped the prices last season. It's not like they won't make that money back in concessions and parking! Look how great Tropicana Field looked with butts in seats!
