Vanilla Ice At a Florida Country Music Concert?

YES! Music festivals these days are into having oddball random acts thrown in to spice things up.  And that’s exactly what they like to do in Fort Lauderdale at the Tortuga Music Festival.  While most of the acts are country stars like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw, they toss in a few wild cards to bring in those who may not be into the cowboy boots lifestyle.  This year, Tortuga has announced they’ve invited Pitbull, Barenaked Ladies and, yes wait for it, Vanilla Ice.  The concerts happen on the beach in Fort Lauderdale April 17 through the 19th.  Tickets are on sale now. You can buy single day passes or one that gets you in all weekend if you love country.

Not up for the road trip? Here’s a look at some upcoming Q105 concerts a little closer to Tampa, including a Vanilla Ice show in Orlando April 25!

  OK this is a weird one. The group's official name is "Ezra Ray Hart." It has members of Sugar Ray, Better than Ezra and Tonic. For 90s rock fans this will be a must.

  Originally the concert was simply postponed, but on June 10, Amalie Arena tweeted the show is officially canceled. They say refunds will be processed automatically for Ticketmaster ticket buyers within 30 days.

  If you missed them in Tampa, you have one more chance to see the Rolling Stones when the Hackney Diamonds '24 tour comes to Camping World Stadium in Orlando. And if you miss this show, you'll have to catch them on one of their future tours over the next few decades... because even though the show is sponsored by AARP, the Stones show no signs of slowing down.

• June 18 & 19: Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett

  Miami's show will be on June 18. The next night the tour comes to Orlando. Then the tour moves north but comes back to Florida for a show in Jacksonville on July 2. Unfortunately still no word of any Tampa dates for the tour.

  The Bucs' biggest fan Nick Carter is bringing his Backstreet Boys home to Tampa for a show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.

• December 4: Jimmy Buffett

  If you've been to a Buffett show, you know the real show isn't on stage, it's in the crowd. This will be the 3rd attempt at making this concert happened. Jimmy had shoulder surgery that postponed the concert in 2019. Then our friend COVID-19 meant a postponement of the rescheduled 2020 concert at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
