The annual Firestone St. Pete Grand Prix of St. Petersburg happens this weekend, beginning Thursday, March 12, 2020. There will be road closures. Which roads will be affected?

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg takes place from March 12-15, 2020. There are plenty of activities in the downtown area to check out other than the race itself, including Thursday’s Grand Prix Flag Raising, Friday’s Grand Prix Movie in the Park and Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg 5K.

IF you’d like to avoid road closures, here’s what you’ll need to know.

Some roads will be closed, while some will have ‘limited access’.
The closed roads include:

  • Beach Dr. from Central Ave. to 1st Ave. S
  • 1st. St. from 1st. Ave. to 5th Ave. S
  • Albert Whitted Park: to motorized and pedestrian traffic.

Roads with ‘Limited Access’ include:

  • 2nd Ave. S from 1st St. to 2nd St. S
  • 1st St. S from 5th Ave. S to 8th Ave. S
  • 6th Ave. S from 2nd St. to 1st St.
