The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made an announcement Sunday night.

They said that organizers should cancel large events. Fifty or more people is to many. They suggested cancelling altogether or postponing for at least eight weeks.

According to the CDC, the list of events recommended to be cancelled are, "conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings and other similar group events."

The CDC says, "Events of any size should only be continued if they can be carried out with adherence to guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations, hand hygiene, and social distancing. When feasible, organizers could modify events to be virtual."
