Hi Tom. Welcome to Tampa Bay. I realize you’ve been here a few times, but it’s different when you live here. As a former New England guy myself, let me help.
... for when the temps go below 75. No for real. It does happen sometimes.
That's not a space museum for the kids. Google MOSI instead.
No deflating the beach balls.
I hear you were already spotted at Bern's with Derek Jeter. It's a great place Tom, but don't blow that $30 million you're getting in your first week.
When I lived on the Hillsborough side, I hardly ever went over the Howard Frankland. It's a nightmare. I get it. But it's worth it.
Since moving here, only one team has really gotten us excited. Fix that.
It might not be sanitized yet. You have no idea what might have been going on in that thing during Vipers games.
But when the New England teams visit the Tampa area, you'll notice the letter "R" mysteriously disappears.
If someone says you and Gisele should visit The Todd, just know it's not a guy name Todd's house.
Please don't ruin it for us with that theory that it's fake.
THEN have lunch.
Sorry. Mike's Pastry is just in Boston. But we've got Mazzaro's which also has a wine and cheese room, the best sub anywhere (The #20 "Hot Italian"), fresh pasta, cappuccino bar, as well as the bakery. Trust me. When I found Mazzaro's, Florida became home.
We do wear shoes.
I love Tampa. I'll never leave. But you're coming from a place where there's great pizza on every block. Here you have to go to Clearwater and find Cristino's.
It'll be dark so nobody will notice you. You'll instantly love this city.
Sorry man. They don't have them here. The only spot I've found that carries them is Cousin's Lobster in Clearwater.
You should anyway... but especially with that high maintenance wife ya got.
When you go to Brandon to get a hot dog at Portillo's, be sure to get cheese with your fries. And a chocolate cake shake.
Especially Saturday nights at 7. You're old enough to appreciate the music they'll play.
Yeah we have more than our fair share of time on the evening news. "A Florida man" is real. But I've lived from Maine to California with this radio job. I chose Florida for my last move for a ton of reasons. You don't see people here retire and move to Foxborough.
