Report: No Deal Yet With The Bucs and Tom Brady
When 4pm came around Wednesday, many were ready to get the news that Tom Brady has signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Web browsers were open and the refresh button was clicked. 4pm became 5pm. Still nothing as midnight approached. It’s now Thursday and there’s no announcement from Brady or the Bucs. So what happened? Did the deal fall through? Are the Bucs just sitting on the news? Apparently not. Word is language in the contract is stalling things.
Bucs and Tom Brady still trying to finalize contract language as of Wednesday night and those discussions will go into Thursday, per source. Contract language more challenging this off-season than any time in recent memory. No problems forseen with Bucs-Brady, but no deal yet.

He expects the loose ends to be worked out and foresees no problem with getting the deal done. Negotiations will continue later this morning according to his reporting.
