Winn-Dixie is making changes to their store hours and will offer senior-only shopping time.
Southeastern Grocers is the parent company and they announced, first of all, special hours for seniors. Seniors will have the opportunity to shop from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M. during the work week. Also, any high-risk customers can shop. This applies to all BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores.
All stores across the country will close each night at 9 p.m.
Anthony Hucker is the CEO and he said, “As a grocer and people-first company, we are doing everything in our power during this time of uncertainty to lessen the impact it has on our associates, customers, community members and their loved ones. When shopping in our stores, please be kind to one another and take a minute to thank our heroic associates for going above and beyond to serve our customers.”
And it’s nice to see corporations giving back. Southeastern Grocers will be giving $250,000 to Feeding America.
