2 Florida Nordstrom Stores Closing

Many Tampa area malls have reopened, but with stores being closed for so long, retailers were hit hard and some may not be able to bounce back. Many were having trouble competing with online shoppers flocking to Amazon long before COVID-19.

Today, the Tampa Bay Times reports that Nordstrom is closing 16 of its stores this year. Two of those will be here in Florida. The closest one to us that is closing is in Naples at the Waterside Shops. The other is down at the Dadeland Mall in Kendall. The store here in Tampa at International Plaza is safe for now. Here’s a look at some upcoming Q105 concerts here in the Tampa Bay area along with a few we think are worth a road trip!  Many of these shows may be postponed given the coronavirus situation.

• May 24 & 25: Daughtry at Epcot in Orlando

  Given that Disney parks are closed "until further notice," chances are slim this one is happening. The American Idol star has a second wind with his appearances this year on The Masked Singer!

  Figured you oughta know that the show has been postponed until August 17, 2021 at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.

  Originally the concert was simply postponed, but on June 10, Amalie Arena tweeted the show is officially canceled. They say refunds will be processed automatically for Ticketmaster ticket buyers within 30 days.

  This rescheduled show will be without Rick Springfield. The show will be at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.

• October 29: The Rolling Stones

  Finally! The rescheduled performance date at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa! The Stones were originally set to play Ray J July 5, 2020. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets for the previously scheduled show will be honored.
• June 18 & 19: Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett

  Miami's show will be on June 18. The next night the tour comes to Orlando. Then the tour moves north but comes back to Florida for a show in Jacksonville on July 2. Unfortunately still no word of any Tampa dates for the tour.

• July 11: Sammy Hagar at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa (CANCELLED)

  Be sure to get there early to hear "Sister Christian!" Night Rangers will be the opener! Whitesnake will not be on this tour as originally planned.

  Originally the concert was just postponed, but on July 29, the band announced their new 2021 dates and Florida is not on the list.

  A night of non-stop Q105 hits... "I Can't Go For That," "Sara Smile," "You Make My Dreams," "Kiss Is On My List," "Rich Girl," "Private Eyes," "One On One," ... maybe even "Jingle Bell Rock!" We'll have to wait for this one though. It has been rescheduled for September 20, 2021.

  The Bucs' biggest fan Nick Carter is bringing his Backstreet Boys home to Tampa for a show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa.
• December 4: Jimmy Buffett

  If you've been to a Buffett show, you know the real show isn't on stage, it's in the crowd. This will be the 3rd attempt at making this concert happened. Jimmy had shoulder surgery that postponed the concert in 2019. Then our friend COVID-19 meant a postponement of the rescheduled 2020 concert at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
