To help slow the spread of coronavirus, officers will be handing out protective masks in Sarasota today, Wednesday (May 13) and Friday (May 15). Head to the front desk entrance at the Sarasota Police Department headquarters at 2099 Adams Lane between 9am and 11am. This is just for Sarasota residents.
Some Florida businesses are reopening as the number of COVID-19 cases begin to go down. Many have limited hours and capacity so it's a good idea to call ahead.
