It’s love bug season! I almost feel happy when I see them because it gives me some sense of normalcy.
Love bugs have been dirtying up my car for as long as I can remember. But how did the end up in the Sunshine State?
They came to the U.S. from Central America back in the 1920’s and then arrived in Florida in the 40’s.
And they thrive here because they aren’t a delicacy for other predators…and of course, they seem to do a lot of procreating.
