Here’s what we know now about Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando as the world wants to know when they’ll open.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has given the central Florida theme parks the opportunity to present plans on how and when they will reopen to the public. A reopening date is required by the Governor to be in the presentation.
They will need to present these plans to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.
Universal Studios Orlando made their presentation to the task force. In their proposal, they plan to open to staff on June 1st and to the public on June 5. They will require temperature checks and masks to be worn at all times.
Walt Disney World will make its presentation to the task force next week (week of 5/25), so we’ll await word on the details from that meeting.
