Busch Gardens submitted their plan to reopen their parks to Hillsborough County. They’ve given the initial approval to the plan. Now they just need the green light from the governor. Disney World and Universal Orlando have announced their plans to safely reopen, but for those of us in Tampa, we’ve been keeping our eye on Busch Gardens.
No specific date was given, according to Channel 10. But many of the same safety precautions the Orlando parks are taking, we will see at Busch Gardens as well. We’re talking face masks, social distancing throughout the park, temperature checks, and single flow lanes like you see at supermarkets. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor has given her approval to the plan. Don’t know about you but I’m ready to take on Iron Gwazi! Although, that may be my second favorite attraction at Busch Gardens. At my last visit before they closed down, I finally discovered my NEW favorite part of the park. After dozens of visits to Busch Gardens, I finally found the water cannons at Congo River Rapids. For 50 cents, you get to choose a water gun to squirt riders from above.
