Duck Dynasty patriarch  Phil Robertson, who has been married to his wife Kay since 1966, has discovered that he has an adult daughter from a previous affair.

Robertson and his children Al, Jase, Jep and Willie revealed during the "Unashamed" podcast on Thursday (5/28) that the family recently discovered the adult daughter.

During the podcast, Al explained that he received a letter from a woman named Phyliss who was 45 and claiming to be his sister.

He said, "So basically, it was from a woman who said that by a DNA search, she thinks that dad might be her dad." Al added, "Well once we get into that and start looking at it a little more deeply, I'm like, 'Oh woah, woah... there might be something to this.'"

Robertson addressed his daughter in a series of tweets, saying, "After 45 years, I met the daughter I never knew I had. God redeemed me 45 years ago but He didn't stop there. 45 years later God is continuing to restore me. He has brought me to my long lost daughter, and I love her. It's amazing to see what beauty God can bring out of our messes. He makes wonderful things out of the ashes. My daughter is a living testimony of that."

Phil has previously admitted to being a philander prior to finding Jesus, however, it appears his daughter was conceived just before he devoted himself to the church.

Robertson and Kay, known as "Miss Kay," remain married. Listen to the full podcast episode below.
