With all of the ugliness that showed itself during the protests the past few days, there was a bright spot.

The community is doing its best to clean itself up, and that includes some local and pro football players.

Included in the group of athletes were members of the Bengals, Bills, Colts and USF Bulls. Other players who played at Tampa area high schools joined the cleanup crew.

With bags, gloves and masks, the athletes went to the Champs Sports by University Mall and quickly set the debris in piles for the city.

Other businesses affected included the Vietnamese-style restaurant Saigon Bay, which had a gofundme.com page set up to help.
