A man was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a bite on the face by an alligator. How does this happen?
It seems that Travis Spitzer was in a lake at Taylor Park in Largo. Largo police report the 40-year-old was waist deep in the water when the alligator bit him.
Spitzer was in the water attempting to retrieve Frisbee golf discs. While trespassing in the lake at 5 a.m., an alligator bit his face, and Spitzer was able to pry the jaws off him and escape. He is expected to recover from the injuries to his face and hands. There’s no word on what has happened to the alligator.
Lost discs are retrieved and sold back to stores.
