St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman announces some changes to how the city will combat the covid-19 pandemic.
Mayor Kriseman announced that beginning Friday at 5 p.m., all businesses in St. Petersburg must have all employees wear face masks. Failure could result in financial sanctions by the City of St. Petersburg. The city is also still working on a measure that would require residents to wear masks when entering business or indoor places, not including home.
The Pinellas County positive tests, as cited by St. Petersburg’s mayor, still remain below 5%, and these safety measures are set in order to keep the rate from growing.
