Tampa Bakery Makes Food & Wine’s Best in America List

Locals know it well. And now so does America. La Segunda is where to go for handmade Cuban bread. Food & Wine is out with their list of the 100 best bakeries in America and not surpisingly, La Segunda made the list. After over 100 years in business, the pandemic has certainly presented challenges, but bakeries all over America are hard at work.

La Segunda was only 1 of 2 Florida bakeries to make the list. The other was in Miami ("Zac The Baker"). They say they made an effort to find some of the best up and coming bakeries but by picking La Segunda, I'm sure they realized decades of being a family-owned business counts for something.
