Tampa Bay Mosquitoes Love This Kind Of Blood

Have you stepped outside in the early evening hours around Tampa Bay? You're likely greeted by mosquitoes. They are here in droves.

Who is most likely to get attacked by these pests? Our mosquitoes definitely have a type (or types).

Here are five reasons mosquitoes may be out for your blood:

1. If your body temperature runs slightly higher than average.

2. If you exercise a lot.

3. You're stressed out.

4. You don't shower often (what!?). Mosquitos love bacteria.

5. You drink alcohol.

Roxanne is a co-host on the MJ Morning Show and host of Middays on Q105 in Tampa Bay. She also hosts segments on The Current, which features local feel-good stories and health and wellness segments, and airs on five of the six Tampa-based Beasley Media Group stations.
