Tornado Spotted Near Sarasota

With the storms that came through on this hot Friday came a twister in Sarasota.

The tornado touched down in Sarasota south of US Hwy 72 east of I-75. For those who know the area, it's near the Twin Lakes Parks baseball fields.

It was reported around 8 p.m. and it didn't for last very long. There were no reports of damage or injuries from the tornado. The severe storm also produced heavy rain, lightning and small hail.
