Weekdays 3:00pm - 7:00pm

Without fireworks to enjoy on the beaches this Independence Day Weekend, St. Pete Beach is holding their “Rock The Block” celebration.

The ‘Rock the Block’ – 4th of July Neighborhood Contest is St. Pete Beach’s way to get the city in the spirit. They want their residents to plan parties on their block while continuing to practice social distancing and safety.

Participants are encouraged to show off creative skills on their block with patriotic signs, colored sidewalks, parades with bikes, golf carts and even musicians on their street. Even dressing like Uncle Sam or the Statue of Liberty. They even suggest scavenger hunts or outdoor movie screenings.

The city still reminds residents to practice social distancing while in public, keeping 6 feet from others, avoiding large crowds and washing hands thoroughly.

The “Most Patriotic (while staying safe)” contestants will need to make a video of how they celebrated July 4th, with winners being voted for on Facebook.
