If your iPhone is having issues, it’ll be a bit of a challenge to find an Apple Store to help you out. The Tampa Bay Times reports both Tampa area locations have locked the doors. The Brandon Westfield and International Plaza stores are temporarily closed thanks to our friend the coronavirus. If your phone is out of warranty anyway, look up online reviews of independent phone repair shops. There was a great one I used to use often when I lived in Riverview at the Winthrop Town Center. I don’t know if they’re still around. But replacing the glass on my phone cost a fraction of what Apple charges.
If your iPhone issue is urgent, you can do the drive to Sarasota. The University Town location is still open, but they have scaled back hours. They close tonight at 7pm. You’ll also need an appointment. Appointments are made online but you can call them at (941) 358-4600. According to their site, you will need a face covering (they’ll provide one), they are doing temperature checks and limiting store occupancy. They say they are also open for customers to pick up online orders. [Source: Tampa Bay Times]
