If you need to get away from it all and enjoy some time with some cool cats, St. Petersburg is now home to the first cat cafe in the area, or more specifically, the Sunshine Kitty Catfe.
If you've never visited a cat cafe before, it's pretty clear. It's a cafe where you can enjoy cats. For the moment, thanks to coronavirus, they're not allowing food or drink, but once things get back to "normal", this "catfe" will have snacks and drinks available. It's the perfect place to relax with, pet and cuddle cats. The cats are all from Friends of Strays, and are all available for adoption.
There are some rules to follow, and they're for the health, safety and comfort of the cats. Shoes need to be removed, and you must have socks. No picking up the cats, but you can still pet them. Try not to bother the cats as they sleep. The cats get wonderful care, so don't feed them. Take pictures, but don't use a flash. Masks are required.
During this coronavirus time, the Sunshine Kitty Catfe is requiring reservations to visit, and you can reserve a 45 minute session. You can play with the cats, and they have plenty of toys.
They even have offices you can book with secure wifi if you'd like to enjoy some workspace with some cats.
