The Tampa Bay Rays kick off their season at home, and though Tropicana Field is off limits to fans, the opening day tradition is still alive in St. Petersburg!
Across from Tropicana Field you'll find Ferg's, where they're keeping the tradition alive! Friday, Ferg's will do their best to provide that feel of being at a live home opener, and they're planning to ensure safety at the same time. The game will be shown on a giant outdoor TV in the parking lot to give everyone plenty of space for social distancing. TV's inside will also show the game.
There will be beer vendors from Tropicana Field to help give that 'in-the-stands' feel to the game. They'll also have their game-day menu to enjoy. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the July 24th home opener between your Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays. Game time is 6:40 p.m.
To protect from COVID-19, guests need to follow some rules. Service will only be provided for those who are seated. No standing or sitting at the bars. Masks will be mandatory when not seated at your table, and social distancing of 6 feet is required.
