Forecasters still haven’t got a full grasp on this storm. It’s still not forming that clear eye that they like to be able to determine a path. But for now at least, the news is good for Tampa Bay. The track is pushing more east again. If this current path holds up, we’ll probably just see wind and rain like we see all the time during summer.
More good news is that the storm is over land right now – that can weaken it. The fact that it’s passing through very tall mountains helps. Once the storm is back over water, we should have a better more definite idea of what, if any, impact Isaias will have on Florida. Paul Dellegatto from Fox 13 tweeted after seeing these readings that he’s “cautiously optimistic” that we’ll not see anything significant out of this.
