Pinellas Park Man Arrested For Slurpee Assault

This week's 'Florida Man' is one from Pinellas Park who didn't want to pay the price at 7-Eleven.

When a man tried to purchase a Slurpee from a Pinellas Park 7-Eleven location on July 26, he argued with the store clerk about the price. The female clerk attempted to take the frozen drink away from the customer, who slapped the drink out of her hand. The contents of the cup ended up all over the employee.

According to the arrest record, the 40-year-old transient was identified by the store clerk. Law enforcement saw surveillance video of the incident. Due to having a previous conviction for battery, the man was booked with felony battery charges on August 7. He's being held on $2,500 bond.
