Weren’t you thinking…wouldn’t it be so nice to wrap up the series in a Game 5, especially after the disappointment last year against the Columbus Blue Jackets?
The Bolts let an early 2-goal lead get away and then things got really crazy in the second period, but this is a hungry Lightning team. They don’t give up. They don’t back down.
Both teams worked their way back from being two goals down in the third period and ended up tying 4-4.
To overtime we go, and Brayden Point scored a goal, right over the shoulder of Blue Jackets goalie, Joonas Korpisalo, 5:12 into overtime.
He finished what he started, as Point was the one who scored the game-winning goal in Game 1.
The team and fans are anxiously waiting to find out who their opponent will be in the Second Round.
