Bruce Springsteen’s ’69 Chevrolet Chevelle Now on Display at the Rock Hall

Bruce Springsteen has had a number of artifacts on display in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland and was even the subject of a major exhibit, but this latest piece of Boss history might literally be one of the biggest attractions to be on display.

Per Cleveland.com, Springsteen's 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle is now on display at the Rock Hall. Springsteen actually gave the car to sound engineer Toby Scott, who has loaned the car to the Rock Hall for display.

Scott tells Cleveland.com, "[It] is a car [Bruce and I] had driven around New Jersey on many an occasion. Although not the inspiration for the song ‘Racing in the Street,’ [that song’s] opening lines describe it exactly: ‘I got a ’69 Chevy with a 396, Fuelie headers and a Hurst on the floor…"

"Racing in the Street" was featured on Springsteen's 1978 album Darkness on the Edge of Town.
