Needing to fill in some slots on their football schedule, the University of South Florida Bulls have added some serious competition for the near future.

The first of three games against the Fighting Irish will be less than a month away, Saturday September 19. That game had originally been against the University of Nevada. Some NCAA conferences have either cancelled their 2020 season or have chosen only to play teams in their conference due to Covid-19. The USF Bulls of the American Athletic Conference are filling in those slots on their schedule against available non-conference teams.

This season’s game against Notre Dame will be in South Bend, Indiana, but the deal will bring the Fighting Irish to Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium for the first time. This will be USF’s second game against Notre Dame. The first time was in 2011 in which the Bulls beat the Irish 23-20 in their season’s opening game.

The USF Bulls 2020 Schedule

  • Sept. 12 VS The Citadel Bulldogs
  • Sept. 19 AT Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  • Sept. 26 AT Florida Atlantic Owls
  • Oct. 3 AT Cincinnati Bearcats
  • Oct. 10 VS East Carolina Pirates
  • Oct. 17 AT Temple Owls
  • Oct. 23 VS Tulsa Golden Hurricane
  • Nov. 7 AT Memphis Tigers
  • Nov. 14 AT Houston Cougars
  • Nov. 21 VS Navy Midshipmen
  • Nov. 27 VS UCF Knights

Lightning 2004 Memories

We hope this happens again for the Lightning this year! Here are some great photos of the Stanley Cup winning team at the “St. Pete Times Forum” with appearances by Elvis impersonators, Alexander Ovechkin and Hulk Hogan!? (Tampa Bay’s Anthony Cirelli was almost 7 years old!)
