Florida CraftArt in St. Petersburg hosted “The Art of Healing” event a couple of months back.
It included six performances by artists, including Julliard-trained dancers, a musician with The Florida Orchestra and Dr. Alex Harris, who has performed with Aretha Franklin and John Legend. The performances told stories about racism, tolerance and acceptance through drama, poetry, music and ballet.
Against the backdrop of current social justice issues, "The Art of Healing" feels prophetic.
“The Art of Healing” video is being offered for free to the public by Florida CraftArt to help educate, increase awareness and foster constructive conversations about racism. Organizations may also set up a free online viewing of “The Art of Healing” with cast member participation in a Q&A session.
