Remember a month ago when we'd have done just about anything to watch a game? I remember tweeting that I'd watch underwater badminton at that point. The sports drought dragged on for months. It was brutal. Now we've got the opposite problem next weekend and Tampa area sports fans are justifiably pretty ticked off about it.

Yesterday the NHL announced the schedule for round 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Tampa Bay Lightning will face off against the New York Islanders starting tonight. All well and good. But this is a best of 7 series so there will be at least four games. Game 4 will be played Sunday at 3pm - just as Tom Brady is about to make his debut for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 4:30pm against the New Orleans Saints. And to complicate matters even more, the red hot Tampa Bay Rays are also playing that afternoon. They have a 1:10pm start against the Boston Red Sox. It's a game that could have big playoff implications.
