OK which one of you alcoholics didn't know when to say when? I never actually got around to checking this place out. I remember writing about it when it first opened. It was such a neat concept. I thought it would thrive here but clearly the pandemic must've been a factor.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports this week that Pour Taproom has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They opened 3 years ago. It's a different kind of bar for sure. You pay by the ounce instead of by the glass for your beer. They change out the types of beer often. They have everything from IPAs to light beer. There are usually 8 different wines to try too.

The concept was first launched in North Carolina. St. Pete was actually their second location. The TBBJ says the paperwork for the filing shows the bar's liabilities at just under $80K with assets just over $40K. They go on to say Pour Taproom owes almost $20K to one creditor, has thousands in unpaid taxes and about $1,000 to employees. [Source: TBBJ]
