Fans cheer during the pregame show before Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2018 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Amalie Arena.

What a game last night!  The Tampa Bay Lightning are once again headed to the NHL Stanley Cup Finals and we couldn’t be any more excited.  Want to show your love for the Bolts?  The team is giving away promotional items like car flags and magnets and they’ll be decorating cars with chalk to get Tampa ready for Game 1 Saturday. You don’t even have to leave your car. Just drive up to their pep rally that will be set up at WestShore Plaza (250 Westshore Plaza in Tampa) Saturday morning at 10. If you’re a season ticket holder, you can beat the crowd and drive through at 9am. ThunderBug will be on hand.

Big props to the Bolts. The Tampa Bay Lightning, together with Jeff and Penny Vinik, have donated $400,000 for the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, bringing community contributions for the 2020 NHL Playoffs to $1 million to improve racial equity and inclusion in the Tampa Bay Community – 1) Education, 2) Workforce Development/Economic Empowerment, 3) Police and Community Relations and 4) Social Services/Humanitarian Assistance. They are committing $100,000 to each of the pillars, granting $50,000 each to two non-profits in these spaces. $200,000 is being donated in each of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
