1 dead, another injured after double shooting in St. Pete

St Petersburg police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man dead and another man in critical condition.

An estimated 50 to 100 people gathered late Friday night into early Saturday morning in St. Pete at the Food Max on 18th Avenue South, according to Channel 8. They say an argument broke out and there was gunfire. 38 year old Bernard Nixon was killed. One other man is currently in critical condition. There has been one arrest we know of so far – 49 year old Darren Lamond Williams. Second degree murder and attempted second degree murder are the charges he’s facing.

They don’t think this was a random shooting, according to ABC Action News. St. Pete police are asking for the public’s help if they have any information that can help in the investigation. [Source: Channel 8, ABC Action News]
