The annual event that brings delicious Cuban sandwiches from all over will feature an attempt at a world record.

It won't be the same as it has in previous years, but the 9th Annual FORD International Cuban Sandwich Festival will be organized as a drive-in event. There will be competitors whose Cuban sandwiches will compete for best in the world, but the socially distanced event will be a little different. While free to attend, you must pre-register to attend with a limited number of tickets for each time slot.

As for that world record attempt at for the longest Cuban Sandwich? A 200 foot long Cuban sandwich! We'll need to see how they pull off the feat! Following the event, it will be donated to a homeless shelter.

Here are the details you need to enjoy the Cuban Sandwich Festival. It'll take place Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Centennial Park, 1913 N. Nebraska Ave. When you register, the free entry is a general admission ticket. You'll need to select one of three times to visit: 11AM-2PM, 2PM-4PM or 4PM-6PM. There will be live music and dance performances. Lawn/travel chairs are suggested to enjoy the shows.

Returning champion Tampa Sandwich Bar will try again at the title. Never heard of them? Well, that may be because you haven't spent time in Seoul, South Korea. They will be joined by a new competitor from France, as well as local favorites.
