Don't fall for this scam!

ZooTampa and Tampa law enforcement officers are working together to find out who is behind this.

There's a Facebook page that is inviting people to purchase tickets to a hot air balloon festival for this weekend. Not a thing. Not happening. Totally false. Don't buy tickets to it.

The fake promotion is trying to get people to spend money on the fake event.

Sandra Torres is Sr. Director of Communications and External Affairs with ZooTampa. She said, "We had contact with the hot air balloon community. They had never heard of this event. Upon further research, this is something they've been doing throughout the country...these fake hot air balloon events."

Thousands of people on Facebook clicked that they are interested in going and the event is being shared, as well.
