Zeta Expected To Become A Hurricane Monday
So far this hurricane season, Tampa Bay has been spared the worst of the weather. Our friends to the northwest haven’t been so lucky. And it’s looking like they are going to be the target of the wildest winds and rain again as Zeta begins to take shape. The newest Sunday afternoon update from the National Hurricane Center shows the cone pointing toward Louisiana and making landfall Wednesday afternoon. Zeta became the 27th named storm this season. They think it’ll strengthen to a hurricane sometime late tomorrow (Monday). [Source: Tampa Bay Times]
