Eddie Van Halen Tribute Planned for Rock Hall Induction Special

Eddie Van Halen will be honored during the upcoming 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Special.

Per Cleveland.com, "For the sake of spoilers, we won’t describe the details of the tribute here, other than to say it does feature multiple guitar gods paying homage to the Van Halen guitarist."

The outlet also notes, "The Eddie Van Halen tribute is part of the Rock Hall special’s in memoriam section, which also honors other rock and roll legends who have died over the past year and a half. That list includes Little Richard, Neil Peart, Ric Ocasek, Ginger Baker and several others."

This year's Rock Hall induction will take the form of a pre-recorded special that will air on HBO and HBO Max on November 7 at 7 PM. A trailer for the special can be viewed below.

The 2020 Rock Hall inductees include Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T-Rex, and Ahmet Ertegun Award honorees Jon Landau and Irving Azoff.
